User Agreement

This document is an electronic record in terms of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (As Amended by Information Technology (Amendment) Act 2008) hereafter referred to as ITAA 2008 and is published in accordance with the provisions of Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules 2011 that require publishing of the rules and regulations, privacy policy and user agreement for access or usage of www.vipanci.com website.

This electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signatures.

Your use of the www.vipanci.com website (hereafter referred to as the 'Website') is governed by terms and conditions contained in this Agreement. This User Agreement for the Website shall come into effect on 00:00 hours Indian Standard Time, on 22nd Januray 2016.

Vipanci Charitable Trust is a Trust registered with the Office of the Charity Commissioner, Mumbai and is engaged in the publication of the works of Sri Rangaramanuja Ayyangar and his daughter Smt. Padma Varadan. The Trust holds the rights to the works of Sri Ayyangar and Smt. Padma Varadan.

Vipanci Charitable Trust (hereafter referred to as 'The Trust') has its registered office at 20, Kasturi Buildings, Jamshedji Tata Road, Churchgate, Mumbai - 400 020. The Trust owns the domain name www.vipanci.com and has put up this website on a web host.

For the purpose of this User Agreement, the terms 'Customer', 'Guest User' and wherever the context so requires 'you' and 'your' shall mean any natural or legal person who is accessing the Website and its contents or its services.

The Website provides multiple 'Checkout' links that initiate the order process. For the purposes of this Agreement the term 'Order Process' refers to the placement of an order on the Website for publications of the Trust; 'Customer' refers to any user who clicks on any of the 'Checkout' links to intiate the order process and the term 'Guest User' refers to any user who accesses the contents of the website but does not click on any of 'Checkout' links on the Website.

In order to process the order placed by Customers on the Website, the Trust collects details regarding contact information, billing and shipping address of the customer. All information considered necessary for communication between the Trust and the Customer and for the delivery of the order are marked as mandatory on the Website and are to be provided by the Customer for recording and completing the order process.

No information is collected for guest visitors who do not click on any of the 'Checkout' links on the website to initiate the order process.

No information regarding the Customer's bank account, credit card, debit card or any other account details is gathered on the Website. The Website uses a payment gateway for receiving payments from Customers. No information is received from the payment gateway regarding the Customer's account details.

Use of the payment gateway is optional and the Customers may opt to send us payment directly.

The use of the Website is offered to you conditioned on acceptance of all terms and conditions and notices in this User Agreement. Upon your acceptance this User Agreement shall be effective and binding upon you along with any amendments made by the Trust at its sole discretion and posted on the Website. You shall not claim invalidity of this User Agreement merely on the grounds that this agreement is being concluded electronically.

For the aforesaid purposes, the term 'Acceptance' shall mean your affirmative action in clicking on any of the 'Checkout' links on the Website that initiate the order process.

You further agree that this User Agreement is being concluded and executed at Mumbai, India.

Your use of the Website implies that you agree with the terms of this User Agreement. If you do not agree or are not willing to be bound by the terms and conditions of this User Agreement and the rules and policies displayed on the Website, please do not click on any of the 'Checkout' links on the Website.

Users intending to place orders on the website are advised to carefully review the policies of the Trust with regard to Privacy, Refund, Returns as well as Shipping and delivery before proceeding to place an order. Should any of our policies not meet your expections, please do not proceed with clicking on the 'Checkout' links to commence the order process.
